Life Lesson #8 LIFE COACH

Dearest reader,

At one point, my Facebook page was inundated with marketing ads about life coaching. This led me to assume that one must have some sort of specialized education in order to become a life coach, so I decided to click on one of the life coach schools to learn more about their program. I was astounded by the price! I read that the tuition was about $6,000-$7,000 to receive your life coach certification in less than one or two years! YIKES, I got discouraged.

My post about the WHY dawned on me that I listen to people’s opinions rather than rely on God’s direction. Do you know what I did? I decided to have ANA time to be alone with myself, think and self-reflect. I took a brief break from social media. I took a trip down memory lane and reminisced on the time before I launched my Lily of the Valley website - I was inspired by Tabitha Brown. I fell in love with her style and words of wisdom. Her love for people was contagious! I wanted to be like her.

After my trip down memory lane, I decided to rewatch her videos on YouTube again. I also decided to check out her Facebook page to learn more about her. Guess what? I got re-inspired! I purchased her book, Feeding the Soul. Oh my! I thank GOD for showing me what I need and what my heart longed for! I got excited and shared my learning with a friend.

Do you know what? As I was reading Tabitha’s book, I was also in the process of writing my own book. I was on Chapter 5 of my book, I AM ME, and realized that Tabitha’s writing style is extremely similar to mine. The way she writes and the short chapters in her book is similar to mine! I proclaimed that the devil could not win. PERIOD. God is real.

My dream of being a life coach is designed and assigned to me.

Do I need to go to school to be a life coach? No.

Do I need to surround myself with life coaches and have a mentor in life coaching? Yes.

Do I need to read and study communication styles to hone my skills and experiences to be a successful life coach? Yes.

Do I currently have a mentor to help me achieve my dreams? OH YES!

May I share my life coach vision with you, reader? I have developed a Life Coach program that will empower you in the most spiritual way. You will ultimately receive the tools needed to manifest your dreams and live a fulfilled life. My life coach program sets me apart from other similar programs because:

  • I will share my personal life experiences with you and reassure you that you are not alone.

  • I see you, I believe you and I recognize that your time is valuable. So during each session, I will dedicate the session to helping you find your best self.

  • I will be authentic, uphold confidentiality, and I will empower you.

  • I recognize that your story is precious and sacred. My job is to give you the tools to continue with your story.

  • Each chapter of your story represents growth. I will provide you with the seeds to grow and then I will allow you space to water your seeds at your own pace.

  • My job as a life coach is to allow you to be YOURSELF. There is no filter. Just come as you are.

  • I am not about the money, title, and educational degree. I am the metaphorical gardener, and you are the seed, positioned to bloom into a beautiful lily of the valley!

Friend, my dream to be a life coach is in the works. The Lily of the Valley Life Coaching Program will launch soon. Keep an eye out for the details! I am working closely with my personal assistant to ensure my dream comes into fruition. I have also spent time studying Brene Brown and Tabitha Brown - they are mentors to me although I have never met them in person. I have all (I think) of Brene Brown’s books, and I LOVE Tabitha’s Feeding the Soul book. Her books, videos, and social media spoke to me, which rekindled my spark to continue to dream! The real catch about my Life Coaching journey is that I never work alone. I always make sure I have healthy, positive people surrounding me to cheer me on and give me critical feedback to grow and thrive.

This blog post is a life lesson for me to ensure that I listen to God and what He has placed in my heart on a daily basis.

Dearest friend, people will always have opinions. Period. That is it.

Do I need to share my dream/vision with every person I interact with? Absolutely not! There will always be naysayers. What’s important to me is how I respond to people. My responses to people are the key. I want to end this life lesson with Tabitha Brown’s powerful words of wisdom (I even shared her wisdom with my son and husband!) and I hope that you feel inspired to achieve your own dreams without relying on people’s opinions and words.

“Words are powerful. But we are the ones who give words their power. Stop letting words tear you to pieces. Ain’t nobody ever laid a hand on you, and you’re still letting those words –whatever they came from—rip you apart. Words do hurt. And it’s okay to feel what you feel. But how you react to those words makes all the difference. Some of you have allowed things people have said to prevent you from starting a business, or from going to see somebody you need to mend fences with. You’ve allowed words to stop you from being great. No one did anything to you. They just said something, and now your whole world has stopped. We’re not doing that anymore, okay? You’re more powerful than words thrown at you by people who mean to do you harm. Talk to yourself. Say, “Those are just words, and I will not let them control me.”

WOW! Just wow! That is the medicine right there! The antidote to heal your soul is to look at words from people at a whole different level and perspective.

So, reader, do you love her words of wisdom? Then buy her book, Feeding the Soul, by Tabitha Brown! <3

Love,

Ana
