Welcome to Lily of the Valley!

Hello friends!

I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself to you. It's important to me that you understand who I am and why I'm passionate about sharing my thoughts with you through my blog posts.

Since 2017, I've had a vision - to become a business owner, writer, speaker, and presenter. And now, that vision has become a reality with Lily of the Valley. My passion is to empower, influence, inspire, and support you in living your best life!

You deserve to be seen, heard, and feel valued.

I've written more about this topic in my blog. If you haven't had the chance to read it yet, feel free to check it out and hopefully, it will provide some inspiration.

In my previous blog, I failed to mention what I did prior to the creation of Lily of the Valley. Here is my story.

For ten years, I dedicated my efforts to raising awareness about domestic violence and sexual assault in both the Deaf and Hearing communities. Through my experience, I learned a lot and have gained expertise in advocacy, trauma-informed practices, and culturally sensitive direct services for victims who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing as well as those who are hearing.

My passion for joining the movement against oppression and violence was ignited during my tenure at Deaf Unity, a statewide nonprofit 501©3 organization. Beginning as a Statewide Victim Advocate, I eventually rose to the position of Executive Director, where I continued to champion the cause of victims! Being in this realm for seven and half years was not an easy feat, however, it was a very rewarding experience!

For the last two years, I have had the honor of serving as the Crisis Intervention and Case Management Services Manager at Domestic Abuse Intervention Services (DAIS). In this esteemed position, my primary role was to provide victim/survivor-centered services and ensure a safe and supportive environment for those in need. This involved overseeing a team of compassionate advocates who were dedicated to helping victims overcome the trauma and challenges associated with domestic abuse. I also provided ongoing training and support to my team, ensuring that they were equipped with the tools and knowledge necessary to provide the highest level of care to those we served.

I loved my job. I loved watching advocates blossoming into amazing and stellar advocates. I loved hearing success stories from victims and advocates.

The experiences I gained from Deaf Unity and DAIS were invaluable in shaping my personal and professional growth.

These organizations served as my "colleges," where I learned important lessons that have made me the strong and capable leader I am today. Their impact is truly immeasurable, and I am grateful for the education and guidance they provided me

I am a person who values both my professional and personal life. I cherish my role as a loving mother to two wonderful children and a devoted wife to my amazing husband of over fifteen years.

In my spare time, I find happiness in relaxing in my own peaceful space, enjoying a warm cup of coffee, staying active through outdoor walks and exercise, cooking, and baking, and cherishing special moments with those closest to my heart.

I am simply living my best life to enjoy the beauty of each day.

I truly hope that by getting to know me better, I can inspire you to embark on a journey towards becoming the best version of yourself. My blogs and videos are meant to offer guidance and motivation, and by staying connected with me through social media, you can continue to be inspired on a regular basis.
